NOTE: The research on Martha Isabelle Morton was done by Donna H. Donnell:

Martha Isabella was the fourth child born to Hiram Glover Morton and Sarah Frances Nash. Born just a year after the Civil war ended, Martha was not born into the prosperous farmers life the family had prior to the war. At the age of twelve Martha Isabella moved with her family west, to Fort Worth, TX with hopes and dreams of putting behind them the poverty the war had brought. Arriving in March 1878, Martha stepped off the immigrant train at the little green depot and started a new life for herself, with a new name. Martha Isabella quickly changed her name to Lille Belle Morton, preferring to be called ‘Belle’. Maybe the name ‘Belle’ was more fitting in this dusty, prairie town; where there were more saloons than churches. Where at night the open sky was filled with the sounds of gunfire displayed by drunken cowboys whooping it up before continuing the long cattle drive up the Chisholm Trail to Kansas. A town where the likes of Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Luke Short and ‘Long-haired’ Jim Courtwright set up poker games with the local businessmen. Martha Isabella Morton, the little girl from Tennessee was no more. Lillie Belle was a nurse.

Charles was a clerk with the T and P Railroad, later he was a Freight Agent for the Rock Island Railroad in Fort Worth, Texas. The 1900 Rockwall Tax Roll gives C.B. McCafferty as paying taxes on 7/8 acre valued at $300.00. He also paid taxes on tools or machinery valued at $20.00. The total value of estate was $320.00. (Research done by Donna H. Donnell) Both C.B. and Lillie Belle died in Ft Worth, Tarrant, Texas. Charles and Lillie Belle are buried in West Oakwood Cemetery, Ft. Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas. His gravestone is engraved with the emblem of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, and reads:
