Theo W. Dunbar
UNION, SC - Mrs. Theodosia Theo Wilson Dunbar, of 200 Veterans Drive, Union,
widow of Means Curtis Dunbar, died Thursday, November 17, 2005, in Wallace
Thomson Hospital.
Mrs. Dunbar was born November 11, 1916, in Union, SC, a daughter of the late
Robert Jefferson Wilson, Sr. and Leatha Gregory Wilson. She graduated from
Union High School, and retired from the Union County School system after 43
years of service. Mrs. Dunbar was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Union, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Busy Bee Garden Club, the Union
County Retired Teachers Association, and was an avid bridge player. She was
the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are a daughter, Sally D. Atwater of Washington, D.C.; a son,
Curtis Means Dunbar and his wife Sonja of Union; six grandchildren, Sara Lee
Atwater of Washington, D.C., Ashley Paige Atwater of Boston, MA, Sally
Theodosia T Atwater of Washington, D.C., Susan Ellen Dunbar of Union,
Benjamin Means Dunbar of Union and Daniel Curtis Dunbar of Kingsport, NY; a
brother-in-law, John English Heath of Union. Mrs. Dunbar was predeceased by
a sister, Sara Martha Wilson Heath; and by a brother, Robert Jefferson
Wilson, Jr.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Mrs. Dunbar's
home, 200 Veterans Drive, Union, SC 29379.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, 2005 in the
First Baptist Church Chapel, conducted by Rev. Robert Emory. Burial will be
in Fosters Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of her son, Curtis Means Dunbar, 118 Cherokee
Avenue, Union, SC 29379.
