Born December 19, 1905 in Kershaw County, South Carolina,
she died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home, Maryville TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Smith Mobley Sr.; son, Edward P. Mobley;
parents, Robert Thomas and Sallie Emma Smith Mickle; four brothers and five sisters;
son-in-law, Ralph Effler.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John Smith Jr. and Peggy Mobley of Maryville;
daughter, Marjorie Mobley Effler of Friendsville; daughter and son-in-law, Sallie Mobley
and Luke C. Bradley Jr. of Alcoa; grandchildren, Jackie Mobley and husband, John E. Caruso
of Ooltewah, Kathy Mobley of Maryville, John M. Bradley and wife, Maryann of Williamsburg, VA,
James Michael Bradley and wife, Cathy of Garner, N.C., Joe M. Bradley and wife, Terry of
Maryville, Rene Effler and husband, John Alvarez of Simi Valley, CA; great-grandchildren,
Angela Caruso of Ambler, PA, William C. Caruso of Ooltewah, Elizabeth Newman of Dobbs Ferry, NY,
Madison Alvarez, Kyle Alvarez and McKenna Alvarez all of Simi Valley, CA, Jennifer Bradley,
Raleigh, NC., Robert Lance Bradley, and wife Kelly, Chesapeake, VA., Erin Bradley, Garner, NC.,
and great grandson, Robert Lance Bradley, II. Sister, Margaret M. Byars, Columbia, SC.
Brothers, Bobby Mickle and wife Emmagene, Ridgeway, SC., and Willie Mickle and wife, Roetta,
Camden, SC. Funeral service was held at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2002, Trinity Chapel,
Smith Mortuary with Rev. Raymond Burnette officiating. Family and friends assembled at
10:00 a.m., Friday, May 17, 2002 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery for the interment.
The family received friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Smith Mortuary, Maryville.
