INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. -- Mrs. Carol Ward Robb Lucas, 51, of 332 Glenridge
Court died Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at the home of her daughter, Heather
R. Maleck.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday at Bethel United Methodist Church in
Chester, with the Revs. Mitch Gregory and Chris Snelgrove officiating.
Burial will be at New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery in Chester.
A native of Anderson, Mrs. Lucas was a daughter of Margaret Ann Gregory
Ward Brockman and the late Robert DeWayne Ward. She was a former heart
catherization technician at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. She
was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Presbyterian Hospital
Nursing School in Charlotte. She was a member of First Will Baptist
Church in Chester.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband, Robert Lucas, her
step-father James Brockman; her son, Matthew Carl Robb of Chester; two
daughters, Genya Robb Helms and Heather Robb Maleck, both of Charlotte;
two sisters, the Rev. Deborah Ward Taylor of Newberry and Teresa Ward
Mann of Chester; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Barron Funeral
Home in Chester.
